Edited/dubbed-up in CE5. Mostly on the MIDI drum parts. Had to track one of the VST soft synths (Prologue Forum Romanum) to audio because the synth tended to hang. Tidied up the ending and the track is now ready to mix/master. Sounds immense...;-).
The plan for tomorrow is to track the vocals for MARE NOSTRUM. That's unless "shtuff" happens...

Accents - 251014
Sponsored by "Bob Dylan".
Busy day today. Programmed a variety of MIDI parts in CE5 using the Yamaha DX100/Phonic Firefly/HALion One Vintage Kit and SynStrings/Prologue Trill Pad. I also edited the various vocal parts in CE5, to fit in better with the MIDI parts I'd programmed.
The track sounds really good now. I'm at the point of either adding more elements to it or leaving it be. My preference is for the former, so that I can have scope for dubbing things up. I'll have a go at this next week.
Another one nearly done...

Complications From A Fall - 220514
Sponsored by "00s Music".
I was going to track bass/guitar parts today, but I didn't feel especially inspired. So I didn't. Welcome to my world...
...instead, I started a new track - COMPLICATIONS FROM A FALL. I took a piece of found audio, reversed and detuned it in AA3, inserted it into CE5, and messed around with it to the extent that it is (hopefully) unrecognisable.
I'd thought about programming MIDI drum parts or doing some Ebow parts, but I couldn't "see my way into" the rhythm (principally because it was so messed-about-with that it didn't have any particular rhythm to speak of), so instead I programmed a random part by ear in Prologue Forum Romanum, using the Yamaha DX100/Phonic Firefly. I didn't bother to edit/quantize it, but I might yet do that if anything sticks in my craw.
This track is pretty much ready to mix/master, but I'll leave it stew for a while, as is my occasional wont.
I'll definitely track bass/guitar next week. Solemn promise...
<...fingers crossed behind my back...>

The Book Of Passwords/Tropes and Memes - 170114
Sponsored by "Shock Me".
Still not feeling great today, so I decided to do some more experimental stuff with VST plugins.
THE BOOK OF PASSWORDS
This is a very simple Delia Derbyshire-esque moody interlude. I programmed one MIDI part (DSK xXx Reset) in CE5 using the Roland Juno-D and the Phonic Firefly. Messed about with a few insert effects. It's pretty much ready to mix and master now. Didn't take long, as you can guess...
TROPES AND MEMES
This was a little bit more involved. Used the following VST plugins:-
There's space for bass and guitar in this track., Somewhere.
More work tomorrow, hopefully...

TROPES AND MEMES
This was a little bit more involved. Used the following VST plugins:-
- Cosmogirl 2 - The Cosmo Girl
- FM8 - Almost Transparent Blue
- Prologue - Forum Romanum (very impressed with that yesterday - must remember not to put the two tracks in close proximity on the final album).
